The origin of hot pot has not yet been determined. However, in the earliest human food culture, there were cooking methods that used fire to cook pots and water to conduct heat and cook food. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, there was a kind of container called the "ding". When performing sacrifices or celebrations, one would "ring the bells and set up the tripod". All the cattle, sheep and other ingredients would be put into the tripod, and then a fire would be lit at the bottom to cook the food before eating it. , is the prototype of hot pot.
